Meet Catherine

046

Hey there! I’m Catherine Kunkel, the face behind Catherine K. Photography. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I’m a natural light portrait photographer located in Pendleton, Kentucky (though I often travel to Louisville and Cincinnati as well). When I was growing up, my parents made sure we had a family photo done every year or two. My mom passed away when I was three, and since then I’ve been so grateful to have several beautiful family photos that keep her memory alive. I think this is the main thing that sparked my love for photography, and once I purchased my first DSLR in 2011, I was hooked!

I absolutely love spending time with others, capturing precious memories for them.

When I’m not photographing others, you can find me spending time with my husband and our seven kiddos.

Please take your time browsing through my little corner of the blogging world. I hope you enjoy what you see, and you if do, feel free to leave me a comment! I love hearing from others!

xoxo

  1. Thanks for subscribing to somethingville.com! I checked out your site and can tell you shoot from the heart. Keep it up and simply keep enjoying it. Take care!

  2. Hi, Thanks for dropping my site. I guess we have the same reason for keeping a blog – that is to grow as a photographer. Also, I have to agree with what Cristine says. Keep it up and good luck!

    1. What an honor! Thank you so much. I’ve been a little behind with posts and such lately, but I will try to get to it very soon!

  3. Good stuff here, loving the shallow depth of field. I’m not sure how long you have been shooting but it would seem from your images that you have been at it for quite a while. A great photograph is one that inspires me. You have many 🙂

    1. Thank you for the kind words! I got my DSLR back in March of last year and really started getting into the photography stuff around August. So about a year. 🙂
      Thanks so much for following!

  4. Catherine is one of the best photographers I have ever met! I am not photogenic at all but Catherine’s work says otherwise. She did amazing capturing mine and my husbands engagement pictures as well as our wedding. Many things went wrong on my wedding day and not only did she help calm me down but looking through the pictures, it brings me joy and I honestly can’t even remember why I was mad. The best advice I got from most married couples was to choose the right photographer, I know I did just that! Thank you Catherine for capturing the moments that I will remember for a lifetime.
